DOSTI KA GULDASTA-THE FRIENDSHIP BOUQUET

Let us talk about flowers; they grow in our gardens, in dense thick jungles, on barren sand in the desert, in the crevices of the high mountains, the still ponds and in the murky, boggy, mud. Of different color, shape and size they all look beautiful more so when arranged in a bouquet.

The 53 of us after a lapse of 50 years of togetherness as intimate inseparable students congregated at the College of Military Engineering, Pune. The assembly of the veteran gents and their wives configured into a very delightsome and relishable ‘Dosti Ka Guldasta,’ a friendship bouquet.

The flowers in the bouquet arranged by the florist have different fragrances; the flower in the Dosti Ka Guldasta has only one fragrance, that of the bonding and binding ‘Dosti’!

It was Tipsy Choudhary all the way! There were other many fine uncut and unheard new talents who regaled us for over two hours through soft and sweet songs and ghazals.

  1. Excellent roundup of the 23 Degree Engineering Course Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Short and sweet, catching all the subtle moments of the event, Couldn’t have been presented in a better way.
Thanks a lot Shameem for this life time memorabilia. Thanks also to the photographer Gen Hari Uniyal, and the chief organiser Gen Pitre and his team at Pune who have made it possible for nearly 100 Officers and Families to assemble and meet, some after all of 50 years.
