Jinhe naaz hai khud par, woh kahan hain?
Jinki soch bulund aur Amal mein durusti thi, woh kahan hain
Woh jinke irrade mazboot aur Pokhta hon,
woh kahan hain
Unhe jo har shab ke khwabon per yaqeen tha,
Aaj woh kyon khamosh, be-zubaan kahan hain?
Woh jo ilm mein Doobe the, zamaane ki the awaz,
Woh jo har mushkil ko apni quwwat samajhte the,
Woh jo Khade rahte the hamesha her Mushkil mein,
Woh jo har dard ko apna muqaddar kehte the,
Woh jo har zakhm ko seenay se laga lete the,
Aaj woh be-dard, be-Raham kahan hain?
Jinhe howsla tha kuch Kar dene ka, woh kahan hain?
Jisne apni aankhon mein basa liya tha sabko,
Woh jo unki sabki duniya mein khoye gaye the,
Woh jo mustaqbil ke Haseen khwabon mein Duba dete the,
Aaj woh be-nishaan, be-sahar kahan hain?
Zamana badal gaya, haqeeqat badal gayi,
Aaj woh khud mein hi mast rahte hain,
har haal mein khud ko sanwarte rahte hain
be-khudi ke andheron mein khoye baithen hain
Ab woh apne hi aks se darte rehte hain,
Her ek sawalon se bhaagte rehte hain,
Woh logon ki jazbaat se khelte rehte hain,
Aaj woh be-awaz, be-nida yahan hain.
Ab tho sirf yaadon ke parchhaiyan hain,
Woh jo khud ko hi dhoondhte rahte the,
Woh jo har lamhe ko apna banate rehte hain,
Aaj woh be-noor, be-nishaan rehte hain.
Jinhe naaz hai khud par, woh kahan hain?
Woh jo apne hi khayalon mein kho gaye,
Woh jo apne hi raaz le kar so gaye,
Woh jo apne hi jazbaat mein doob gaye,
Aaj woh be-zameer, be haya sab Yohan hain?

Translation:
Where are those who take pride in themselves?
Where are those whose thoughts were lofty and actions pure?
Where are those whose intentions were strong and steadfast?
Those who believed in the dreams of every night—
Why are they silent and voiceless today?
Those who were immersed in knowledge, the voice of their time,
Those who saw every difficulty as a test of their strength,
Those who stood firm in every challenge,
Those who accepted every pain as their destiny,
Those who embraced every wound to their chest—
Where are they now, so heartless and merciless?
Where are those who had the courage to achieve something?
Those who held everyone in their eyes,
Those who got lost in the worlds of others,
Those who drowned in the beautiful dreams of the future—
Where are they now, without a trace, without hope?
Times have changed, reality has shifted,
Today they remain lost in themselves,
Constantly adorning themselves in every state,
Lost in the darkness of self-forgetfulness.
Now they fear their own reflections,
Running away from every question,
Playing with the emotions of others,
Today they are here, voiceless and unheard.
Now they are just shadows of memories,
Those who kept searching for themselves,
Those who made every moment their own,
Today they remain without light, without a trace.
Where are those who take pride in themselves?
Those who got lost in their own thoughts,
Those who slept carrying their own secrets,
Those who drowned in their own emotions—
Are they now here, without conscience, without shame?
