Divided By Hate

In shadows cast by ancient events,
Where voices rose with mixed reasons,

We seek to revenge the past undone,
With interpretations inspired by self concerned,

A heart that was once open starts to close,
Is filled with hate in us that others chose,

Though they wear their faith like armor bright,
Yet in the naked light, they lose the sight,

Of the common threads that did bind us all,
The yearning heart we shared with enthrall,

The creed that sows venom claims the truth,
Plants seeds of doubt, we forget our youth,

Our values our morals we rapturously shun,
Live with Lies and stories of battles won.

Anger grows where love should dwell,
Reason and logic we consciously repel,

In every nook we point the foreign prayer,
It Becomes a weight too hard to bear.

Could we not  pause the fight,
Rekindle the spark in shared delight,

Forgive the past the future we find
For evolution is tapestry of humankind.

So let us break the chains of hate,
Embrace the vastness of our fate,

In unity, let love and friendship increase,
And find in others, our own peace.
