Shots in the Basket

I have noticed him basket the ball with ease when he was a five year toddler. His body swerves  were so natural, that with ease he evaded me with the ball, and his throws went into the basket far more times than mine did. His friends much older, enjoyed playing with him, and often stood knocking at his door to fetch him to play with them. As he grew, his parents, Sabila & Malik, encouraged, motivated him and regularly accompanied him to practice sessions as well as club matches, inspite of their busy schedules; often at odd hours.
Last night, I met him when (he is 14 years old, in the ninth grade) his parents travelled with him in their car, covering a five hours journey, from Boston to our residence at Hockessin, Delaware. This morning we travelled two hours to Hooky Nook, in  Pennsylvania, where he is scheduled to play matches as a member of his club team in the tournaments being held there.
He is Kazim Husain, my grandson.
Sharing videos and pictures of his participation in the first game. Please do watch.

Malik, at the wheels, drove us through the Aamish countryside and we enjoyed it’s landscape.

We reached Hooky Nook

The warm up

Ayaan, Kazim’s cousin not a fan of basket ball, however, he likes to watch his best friend play. An ardent soccer player, he could not resist exhibiting his soccer skill.

The match starts

The ‘Interview’!
We all agree completely! And second it!!
