Kya Yeh Nirvana Hai?

Ab zindagi mein na koi shikwa, na gila hai,

Dil mein na ranjish, na kisi se koi sila hai.

Na fikar ka bojh, na nafrat ki koi aag,

Na rishton ki girah, na khwahishon ka daagh.

Jo mila, use khushi se qubool kar liya,

Jo chhoot gaya, use khamoshi se bhula Diya.

Apne aap par aitbaar kiya,

Sach ka daaman pakda, aur khud ko tham liya.

Raaste mein aaj bhi rukawatain hazaar hain,

Magar ab woh sirf waqti imtehaan hain.

Toofan aayein to aane do, ab darr nahi lagta,

Mera sukoon kisi halaat ka mohtaaj nahi lagta.

Na kisi se jeetne ki aarzu, na kisi ko haraane ka junoon,

Bas apne andar mil gaya hai ek gehra sa sukoon.

Jo kal tak tha zaroori, aaj zaroorat nahi,

Jo dil ko baandhta tha, ab woh aadat nahi.

Khud ko paaya hai to duniya se kya maangoon,

Sach ke saath chaloon phir kis baat se bhaagoon?

Per kabhi sochta hoon, yeh kaisi roshni hai,

Kya yeh meri zindagi hai… ya koi khwaab ki duniya hai?

Kya main ne paa liya hai woh maqam-e-Nirvana,

Jahan na bandhan hai, na khwahish, na koi afsana?

Ya phir yeh bhi zehan ka ek haseen khwaab hai Elham,

Jab jagoon tho ho na jaye ek dum khatam.

Translation

Is This Nirvana?

No grievance remains, no complaint in my heart,

No bitterness lingers, no pain to impart.

No burden of worry, no fire of hate,

No knots in relationships, no desires to dictate.

What came into my life, I welcomed with grace,

What left me behind, I let go without a trace.

I trusted myself, found faith in my way,

Held firmly to truth, and held myself steady each day.

A thousand obstacles still stand in my way,

But now they are trials that will pass away.

Let the storms come—let them thunder and roar,

My peace no longer depends on what life has in store.

No urge to conquer, no passion to defeat,

I have found within me a calm, deep and complete.

What once seemed essential, I need no more,

What once held my heart, cannot bind it anymore.

Having found myself, what more should I seek?

If I walk with the truth, what is there to fear or flee?

And yet, at times, I wonder—what is this light?

Is this truly my life… or a dream so beautiful and bright?

Have I reached that sacred place called Nirvana,

Where there are no chains, no desires, no tales to carry?

Or is this too a beautiful dream of the mind—

A dream that gives me peace while I am awake?

And when you finally wake up Elham,

Will it all, in a single moment, simply disappear?
